Lost At E Minor

One of my simple watercolor works is being featured in www.lostateminor.com as the page banner. (see attached picture, my work is the one at the top of the page) It is one of my recent watercolor experimentations. The artwork itself is a plant called
Acacia sclerosperma subsp. glaucescens a.k.a Billy Blue.

To view a bit about my profile in Lost At E Minor, just go to this link: http://www.lostateminor.com/how-to-design-a-banner/
and my short profile is located at the bottom of the page.

HUGE thank you goes to Lost At E Minor for featuring my artwork.

The Award

Today was the most unforgettable day of my life. The day that I finally achieved something of my long painstaking hard work. Today was the Graduation Ceremony of Billy Blue and I missed it because I couldn't come. Thus, my friends came and told me what happened on the ceremony. Out of my expectations, one of my friends sms-ed me and told me that I had scored the Award of Outstanding Achievement.

I really thank God for what He's done for me. He's guided me through all of this. Thank You God for listening to all of my prayers. And thank you for actually making them come true. I'm so happy that I can make my parents proud of me.

That's all I want to update. Thank You God. Thank you my lovely parents, and brother too. And thank you my friends for all of the supports you've given. My motivation has even grown bigger now =) I'm at least one step closer to my final goal. I will try even better next year!

Tadaima

I'm home. I feel so delighted to be back to my place again, the place where I come from. This is what I meant by the surprise I mentioned in one of the previous entries. I don't remember which one it was, but I'm sure I've mentioned before.

I didn't say anything to my parents about my come back. As predicted, they were very surprised. I mean VERY. Their faces were agape and after few seconds of being stunned, they yelled out my name. Hehehe. Objective completed I guess... =)

Now that all of my school work is done, I can relax and lay back for a few weeks. With nothing to do.

Yesterday, I was trying to submit my OZoo Set to CONCEPT magazine, but somehow they do not receive anymore work. I was disappointed, I was. But I guess everything happens for a reason right? So does this one. The only thing I was sorry about was the chance of showcasing my work and showing it to the whole reader, which covers university lecturers, art directors, and other graphic design aficionados. Well, I cannot do anything about that, can I? At least I tried.

That's all. I don't want to write much. It's so HOT here. Boiling! Feel like sleeping all day long. (no way, I've already gained some kgs! Grrr. no more sleeping!)

This is...Totoro.

Just in case you don't know what Totoro is... Let me introduce to you, Totoro! I love him! So big and he has big claws, yet so friendly and cute!

Trust me, watch it! The animation is titled My Neighbor Totoro. Anyway, now I want to continue writing an email to my friend. Tee hee hee, I still haven't finished it yet. Another recommendation of good STUDIO GHIBLI animations are: Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery Service. Actually there are still a lot more, but too many too mention.

BYE!

Imagination

Totoro! I love Totoro. I know it's a rather old animation from STUDIO GHIBLI, but I've only watched it few days ago. Better late than never, right? The storyline was not complicated at all, it was so simple. The only thing that made the story interesting was: imagination. That's the field I'm in right now. No imagination, meaning no survival. I want to have an ability to imagine a lot of things, the crazier the imagination is, I think the better I'll be in this particular field. Well, as long as I am not carried away over the line, it's okay.

Imagination, and also Creativity. If both are combined together, it will be simply PERFECT!

Tomorrow, another day at campus. But we've got a whole week of Production Week, it's just that I need to catch up with my Portfolio work. Therefore, I still need to go to campus. And plus, I've promised a good friend of mine to stay there till around 9 and be a good company, while doing my work too. Tomorrow... Ashita... Besok...

Ah, need to reply my best friend's email.

Ephemeron?

ephemeron \ih-FEM-uh-ron\, noun;
plural ephemera \ih-FEM-uh-ruh\:

1. Something short-lived or of no lasting significance.
2. ephemera: Items, especially printed matter (as posters, broadsides, pamphlets, etc.), intended to be of use or importance for only a short time but preserved by collectors.

Another new word I've learned today.
I hope my motivated and determined will is not a mere ephemeron. Hehehe.

How am I feeling today? I feel okay, yet confused. I can't seem to find my missing creative side. Im meeting another dead end for my last illustration project for this term. I need to create a poster for a show called PLAYTIME, using the shadow puppet I've created last time. I want this poster to be a good closing for my Illustration lesson this semester, therefore it'd better be good!

Okay... I'll just doodle around in my sketchbook first I guess.
Got a late class tomorrow, that means I can sleep a bit late today =)
Good nite.
